Terms of Service

1. Overview
YardNow ("YardNow," "we," "us") provides an on-demand marketplace that helps customers request yard work services and helps independent service providers find opportunities. YardNow is a product operated by Weeze.
These Terms govern your access to and use of YardNow's website, apps, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Who's who (Marketplace)
- "Customer" means a person requesting yard work services.
- "Provider" means an independent service provider offering yard work services.
- Providers are independent contractors. YardNow does not perform yard work and is not an employer, agent, or contractor of Providers.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree that any information you provide is accurate and up to date.
4. Accounts and communications
You may provide an email address and/or phone number to join a waitlist or receive notifications. You consent to receive communications related to the Service, including operational messages (e.g., availability updates). Message and data rates may apply.
5. Requests, availability, and estimates
The Service may show Provider availability, ratings, or estimated arrival times. These are best-effort estimates and may change due to real-world conditions.
6. Provider responsibilities
Providers are responsible for:
- Performing services safely and professionally
- Complying with all applicable laws, licensing, insurance, and tax requirements
- Setting and honoring availability and service details
- Communicating with Customers in a timely manner
7. Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate location and service details
- Ensuring reasonable access to the service location
- Reviewing completion details and raising issues promptly if something is wrong
8. Payments (early-stage note)
YardNow may facilitate payments in the future. If payment features are introduced, additional terms may apply. For now, features may be limited while the Service is in early access.
9. Ratings, content, and photos
Customers and Providers may submit ratings, reviews, and photos ("Content"). You grant YardNow a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, and display your Content for operating and improving the Service (for example, to show before/after photos or quality signals). You promise you have the rights to submit the Content and that it doesn't violate anyone's rights or the law.
10. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
- Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service
- Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." YARDNOW DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT PROVIDERS WILL BE AVAILABLE OR THAT SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. PROVIDERS ARE INDEPENDENT, AND YARDNOW IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTS OR OMISSIONS.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YardNow will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. YardNow's total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to YardNow in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing).
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify YardNow and Weeze from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time if we believe you violated these Terms or if we need to protect the Service, Users, or the public.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
